This is really unethical and extremely shocking that I came to know my Gold loan MSL/014708 from Muthoot Santekatte Udupi, taken in Aug 2020 was auctioned in Nov 2021 and that I am getting to know about this last week.
It was Covid time and we were facing financial difficulties, however, I was in touch with the then manager Ms Vasanthi of Santhekatte branch, Udupi.
I very well remember that during that time she had visited our house, asking to pay the EMI . Later I got to know that some gold was picked up from the branch for auction. However, I had spoken to the previous manager Ms Santoshlatha, who was really very helpful. She very well knew that i was not letting to lose a single gram of my gold and had requested to extend and allow 2 to 3 days, so that the money can be arranged and save my gold from auction.
At that time, I had taken money from a private money lender on 15% just to save all my gold.
Along with the above gold loan, there were MSL/ 14547, 14617, 14618, 14674, 14825 which had been picked .
I had given the cash to the manager and asked to divide the amount accordingly. Till last week, I was under impression that I had all my gold, however, we knew there was some missing and we were looking for it at home, thinking we have misplaced it.
It came to my notice and was told by a bank manager, when he checked my CIBIL and informed that there was a gold loan write off, to which I argued with him saying I have never gone for any write off. I have closed all my gold loans. He gave me the detailed list of the gold loan which was showing write off, then I called up the branch and took further details.
To my shock, I got to know last week that it was actually auctioned.
My question is, why the manager didn't tell till date that one of my gold was auctioned. I was also asking to check the gold which was missing, even then she didn't tell there was a auction happened.
I have kept the maximum gold in your branch, around 25 lacs and you people have gained hell lot of interest from my gold. I have trusted Muthoot but you people are not to be trusted anymore. When I had arranged money to save my gold and 5 MSL were not auctioned, how did that one lot got auctioned.
And why is this not been informed to me till date. Who is answerable? Are you people going to give my gold back?
You people have sent a registered post which was not received, the reason being, I had left the rental place in April 21 and was staying at my mothers house. Manager Ms Vasanthi was knowing about this, hence she visited my mothers place in Uppinakote, Brahmavara. When the letter had gone back to branch, she very well knew I was not staying in that residence and also she knew where I was staying, then why was this not informed to me.
I want answers to my question and I want my gold back. Else I will have to file a complaint against your company for the fraud.
